DIY Power Supply
Here is my homemade benchtop power supply. I made it out of an old PSU from a computer and banana plug ports. This only took about an hour to peice together. The bundle of cables exiting the PSU actually have a fairly easy to follow colour coded voltages. The power supply has the following voltage rails: +12v (Yellow), +5v (Red), +3.3v (Orange), 0v (Black), -5v (White), -12v (Blue). This means i can have 3.3, 5, 8.3, 10, 12, 15.3, 17, 24 volt DC output.
As this is a 350Watt PSU i can draw potentially large amounts of current (16Amps
on the 5v rail and 10Amps on the 12v rail).
